Caramelized Pulled Beef Brisket

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Season brisket with salt and pepper.
  4. Brown brisket on all sides in the skillet.
  5. Combine beef broth, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl.
  6. Place brisket in a roasting pan and pour sauce mixture over it.
  7. Cover the pan with aluminum foil.
  8. Bake for 3-4 hours until tender.
  9. Remove brisket and let it rest for 15 minutes before shredding.
  10. Serve with remaining sauce.
