Crockpot Cabbage Roll Casserole

A hearty and flavorful casserole made with cabbage, ground meat, and rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
  3. In a large bowl, mix cooked rice, tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, paprika, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. In a crockpot, layer half of the cabbage followed by the meat mixture.
  5. Add the remaining cabbage on top.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until cabbage is tender.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, substitute ground beef with lentils or mushrooms.
  • Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Freezes well for up to 2 months.
