  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, egg, salt, pepper, and allspice.
  3. Form the mixture into small meatballs.
  4. Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
  5. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  6. Add flour and whisk until smooth.
  7. Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly.
  8. Stir in cream and soy sauce. Cook until thickened.
  9. Add baked meatballs to the sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
  10. Serve hot.

  • Serve with lingonberry sauce and mashed potatoes.
  • You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days.
